Micaela graduated in Mineralogy at the University of Rome (Italy). She obtained a PhD. Degree in Experimental Mineralogy and Petrology at the University of Bayreuth (Germany) working on the development of a spectroscopic method for determination of Fe speciation in minerals. Afterwards she joined PANalytical (Almelo, the Netherlands) and is now working in the department of Product Management X-ray fluorescence focusing on metals.
Nicholas studied mineralogy and crystallography in Vienna (Austria) dealing with radiation damage in minerals before moving to Potsdam (Germany) where he was working in the field of experimental mineralogy studying mineral chemistry and physics at elevated temperatures and pressures. He joined PANalytical in Almelo (the Netherlands) as an application specialist for XRD in 2011.
