As Malvern Panalytical continues to execute on its strategic growth plans, we have made the difficult decision to end manufacture of our Kinexus rotational rheology product family as of 30th November 2019. We are committed to providing support to our customers for up to five years following this date, including service, applications and existing contract offerings. Please note the Rosand Capillary rheometers are unaffected by this decision.

Malvern Panalytical has outlined an ambitious plan for the future as a growth platform in the Spectris group. Considering the contribution of the product line to this strategy, alongside its capability to drive significant differentiation and value to our customers and our business, we concluded that the correct decision was to stop the development, production and sales of the Kinexus product line. This decision will enable us to focus our product development resources on those projects and initiatives that will deliver innovative solutions to our customer needs and will help to further strengthen our leadership in scientific instrumentation in 2020 and beyond.

Is the Rosand Capillary rheometers product line also ceased?

This decision is not affecting the Rosand Capillary rheometers, we will continue to manufacture this product line.

Our business is fortunate with a large number of opportunities. Every year we make significant investment in product development, as such we will continue to focus, aligned with our growth strategy, on where we can create significant value for our customers.

What will happen regarding support for existing install base in terms of spares availability?

What do I do if I recently placed an order for a Kinexus system?

You will receive a direct communication from our sales team or our distributor to inform you of the decision. Quotes remain valid, however we require orders to be placed by end of October for fulfilment in 2019. What will happen if a tender closes after the announced end of manufacture date (30st November 2019)?

How will Malvern Panalytical make sure it is able to meet its service obligations for up to 5 years?

Knowledge from the relevant experts on the Kinexus product line has been transferred and captured. Therefore, we will retain rheology expertise in the organisation and are confident to support our customers and deliver against our after care commitments.

What happens if I have an open after care support request?

You will receive a direct communication to inform you of the decision. This announcement will not affect the level of service you can expect to receive from Malvern Panalytical, and we will be in touch through the normal channels to arrange the next steps for resolution.
