Essentials of XRD

This training course is held at the training facility at our UK headquarters in Malvern, Worcestershire.

The course will focus on the fundamentals and practical applications of X-ray diffraction analysis. It will explain how to configure your instrument to achieve the best data quality and the most efficient use of measuring time. It will cover the important aspects of crystallography so the user can better understand the information contained in the diffraction pattern. From there we will cover a range of more advanced measuring techniques including transmission measurements, thin film analysis, residual stress and texture. Other X-ray scattering topics of special interest may be added upon prior discussion with the course tutor.

The sessions are held in a friendly, informal atmosphere and designed to enable you to produce high quality XRD data from your Malvern Panalytical instrument. This course should appeal to both new users and also those wishing to update their knowledge and professional competencies.

These are paid courses.
