Battery Materials In-Situ Characterization Workshop

Professor Prashant Kumta (University of Pittsburgh) and Dr. Scott Speakman (Malvern Panalytical) are proud to co-host a Workshop on In-Situ Characterization of Battery Materials at the Energy Innovation Center (EIC) from November 20-21. In-situ analysis of electrochemical materials provides helpful insight into battery performance and failure, but also presents many challenges.

This year’s workshop will focus on time-resolved in-situ X-ray diffraction analysis during battery cycling, featuring lectures on best practices, round-table discussions, and hands-on demos. We hope to create an opportunity for researchers to discuss challenges and exchange ideas for in-situ characterization of electrochemical materials. We hope that you can join us this fall in Pittsburgh.

We welcome oral and poster presentations from attendees. If you would like to submit a presentation please see the abstract submission section. Student posters are eligible for judging and Workshop Awards.

The Workshop runs from:
10 am to 4 pm on Wednesday, November 20; and from
9 am to 1 pm on Thursday, November 21.

The Poster Session and Reception will be on Wednesday evening, November 20, 2019 from 5 to 7 pm.

Registration Fees:
Industrial and Faculty $100
Graduate Students and Postdocs $50
Undergraduate Students $25
