Method development starts with a key question: ‘What’s the problem you are trying to solve?’

Keeping this in mind will really help guide your analytical imaging method development!

When we use the word ‘method’ we are referring to an entire process, including the steps listed below:

  1. How do we take a sample and how much do we need to measure
  2. How do we disperse the material and how much energy should we use?
  3. How to we set and optimize the instrument settings to get the most meaningful results?

All of this really depends on the type of sample you’re analyzing and the type of information you need. For example, if you’re interested in agglomerates, you’ll need a lower energy method of dispersion, a low magnification and to make sure the sample size is large enough to capture enough of those agglomerates. However, if you need more detail on fine particles, then dispersion is key along with optimizing your measurements for high magnification.

We’ll cover all of these, plus more questions and helpful tips in this webinar, and hopefully take care of all your method development queries and challenges. Look forward to seeing you there!
