Concept Life Sciences: Aromatase (CYP19) assay

The aromatase (CYP19) assay uses human recombinant CYP19 microsomes. CYP19 activity is determined by a radiometric assay measuring the release of [3H]-H2O from 1β-[3H]-androstenedione catalysed by CYP19.

Aromatase is a cytochrome P450 enzyme responsible for estrogen biosynthesis, and converts androgens such as testosterone and androstenedione into estrogens (estradiol and estrone).

This assay is run according to OCSPP 890.1200.

Deliverable: Study report detailing protocol, data and IC50 of test compound.
