Malvern at Powtech 2016!
Recipe for a successful exhibition: good shoes, good coffee and – most importantly – good conversation!
An exhibition is the perfect platform to discover new products and innovations and to network with key people in related industries who have similar applications and problems. It is also an opportunity to speak to experts from different sectors and to evaluate technologies which could be used to solve an industry problem, simplify a process or improve productivity.
Powtech is the world’s leading exhibition for mechanical processing technologies and instrumentation for powder and nanoparticle analysis. It is also one of the biggest annual exhibitions for Malvern Instruments with a large number of our existing and potential customers at the event. Consequently, the Malvern booth is a hive of activity throughout the 3 days of the event, with lots of conversations, presentations, and instrument demonstrations taking place. It’s where complex topics get explained, where technologies get evaluated and where relationships are developed.
On display for Malvern this year was the majority of our Material Characterization Toolbox, which includes measurement solutions for powders, dispersions, polymers, and biomolecules. We also had a large team of technical and application experts on hand to demonstrate the equipment and to answer technology- and application- specific questions.
Running parallel to Powtech was the PARTEC congress, which brought together 500 scientists and engineers from all over the world to discuss developments in particle and powder research across a range of industries. Malvern sponsored this event and it was nice to see so many Malvern green lanyards around the exhibition hall. Dr Alan Rawle, Applications Manager at Malvern Instruments Inc. gave a talk on the “Characterization of emulsions generated by the louching route”. Dr. Paul Kippax and Dr. Steve Ward-Smith also moderated some sections.
We recorded a short video showing the team and our stand at Powtech.
