About Dr. Natalia Dadivanyan

Dr. Natalia Dadivanyan, MSc, Ph.D is Segment Marketing Manager in Pharma & Food Sector and is home based in Neuss, Germany, which is only a two hours drive from Malvern Panalytical’s Almelo headquarters in the Netherlands. Natalia is focusing on understanding the challenges of small molecule drug development. Through interactions with key opinion leaders and customers of Malvern Panalytical Natalia is gathering the requirements for existing and future instrumentation, making sure that Malvern Panalytical is offering solutions that are helping make small molecule pharmaceuticals development efficient and reliable.

Natalia lives in Neuss, Germany only five minutes away from the Rhine river with her husband and son. She spends her free time with her family, enjoying long walks along the river, or with a book on art, history or fiction.

Career pathway

Natalia has studied chemistry in Moscow State University (Russia). After completing her master's thesis on polymer liquid crystals Natalia moved to the University of Freiburg (Germany) to obtain her Ph.D. degree working on liquid crystalline elastomers, materials that can be used in optical applications or as artificial muscles. This was followed by a post-doc position in the Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands), where Natalia did research on organic semiconductors. In 2012 Natalia joined PANalytical, now Malvern Panalytical in Almelo (The Netherlands) as an Application Specialist in X-Ray Diffraction. Since 2016 Natalia is primarily working with customers in the pharmaceutical industry.

Throughout her career path, Natalia’s motivation is to help people, and solving the challenges they are facing. For this reason, she has always focused on industry-relevant research trying to make an impact on peoples’ daily lives. Nowadays she is passionate about understanding the workflow of pharmaceutical development and how different analytical techniques can support it and help bring new medicines to the market as quickly as possible without any compromise on everyone’s safety.

Research & expertise

She serves on the board of Pharmaceutical Powder X-ray Diffraction Symposium and has presented at multiple international conferences on pharmaceuticals, polymers and X-ray technologies (X-ray diffraction and scattering techniques, computed tomography).
