ISEV 2018: Improved data quality delivered faster with NTA
We’re on our way out to the biggest meeting of the year on extracellular vesicles, International Society of Extracellular Vesicles (ISEV) in Barcelona. We at Malvern Panalytical, together with our local partner Iesmat, can’t wait to meet you all in Palau de Congressos de Barcelona later this week! We know how much NanoSight systems are valued in exosome and microvesicle research, so would like to take the opportunity to network closely with our current and future NanoSight users and introduce the new Sample Assistant. So, whether you have a specific question about the Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) technique or just want to say hello, we will be waiting at Exhibition Stand 26.
We’ll be at the Industry Poster Session on Thursday, 3rd of May from 5:15-6:15 pm (Poster 10: ‘Setting the Benchmark for Robust and Reproducible Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis).
A Benchmark for Robust and Reproducible Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis
We all know how important it is to have robust, reliable and reproducible data when monitoring exosome size and concentration. Our poster will summarize how Malvern Panalytical worked with pan-European partners to establish a benchmark for repeatability and reproducibility for the NTA technique in a recently completed multi-round ILC1. The ILC process and method validation resulted in a sizing accuracy above 97%, and concentration CV less than 9%, confirming significant improvements in the accuracy and reproducibility of both size and concentration measurements.
Improved data quality, delivered faster: Sample Assistant
Have you heard about the new addition to the NanoSight family, the Sample Assistant? Automated sample delivery and walk away analysis of up to 96 samples can be achieved in ~15 hours. The Sample Assistant also reduces user error and subjectivity, resulting in higher repeatability and reproducibility than that achieved with manual measurement. Sample Assistant has been validated in collaboration with NTA users as a valuable tool in EV characterization. Want to know more? Stop by Stand 26 and have a look!
Latest NTA software upgrade
NTA3.3 software is now available to download from the website. Updates include new SOP pages and CFR. If you would like a copy, please speak to one of our representatives.
B-Smart
We are proud to be part of EU Horizon2020 project B-Smart, where we are working closely with our partners towards system improvements. I’m sure we will see a few B-Smart partners during the conference! The B-Smart project is working towards developing a therapeutic for Alzheimer’s disease and this recently published video clip summarizes our approach. If you would like more information, please ask at Malvern Panalytical stand.
If you have questions about analyzing your vesicles or other samples with NanoSight or are wondering how to bring a NanoSight into your lab, please come by and talk to one of our specialists. We look forward to seeing you soon!
