Process control and quality control in the iron and steel industry are driven by rapid and accurate chemical analysis to ensure consistency of the product. This requires robust and reliable technology. X-ray Fluorescence is a proven technique to determine the elemental composition of a wide range of materials at different stages throughout the manufacturing process. It offers several advantages over techniques such as wet chemistry or ICP, providing fast, precise results while being non destructive, easy to operate, and with little or no sample preparation needed.
In this webinar, we are going to explore key solutions using our XRF spectrometers which are able to satisfy the demanding analytical requirements for various materials, from raw materials to low and high alloy steels.
Webinar detailsPanelist information: Dr. Micaela Longo Market Segment Manager B.V., the Netherlands.
Micaela Longo graduated in Mineralogy at the University of Rome (Italy). She obtained a PhD. Degree in Experimental Mineralogy and Petrology at the University of Bayreuth (Germany) working on the development of a spectroscopic method for determination of Fe speciation in minerals. Afterwards she joined Malvern Panalytical (Almelo, the Netherlands) and is now working in the department of Product Management X-ray Fluorescence focusing on metals.
