Advances in Microcalorimetry 2019 registration open and call for speakers and posters – Join us in August

On August 7 and 8, 2019, Malvern Panalytical is sponsoring the “Advances in Microcalorimetry 2019” meeting, for Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) users.  The meeting is held at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel and Conference Center, in Framingham Massachusetts.

The meeting focus is on applications, best practices, data analysis and “What’s new” in ITC and DSC.

Everyone is welcome, from new users to experienced calorimetrists. Speakers will be ITC and DSC experts with Malvern Panalytical and scientists from both academia and industry.

The meeting starts with free workshops on ITC and DSC experimental design and data analysis.  There will be 1 ½ day of scientific presentations on the use of ITC and/or DSC during drug discovery and development, characterization of proteins, enzymes,  lipids, nucleic acids, and other biopolymers, as well as novel applications for ITC and DSC and new data analysis tools.  The evening of August 7 will be a reception with a poster session.  The final agenda will be posted later this summer.

Registration for the 1 ½ day meeting is $150.  Space is limited so register as soon as possible to reserve your space.

CALL FOR SPEAKERS AND POSTERS:

We are also accepting speaker proposals until June 1st, and poster submissions until July 15.  If your submission is accepted we will send you further information about times, formats, etc.

Presentations and posters should share research and results that utilized ITC and/or DSC, to characterize biomolecular interactions and biopolymer stability as part of the study.

To submit a speaker proposal (by June 1)

Send Verna Frasca an email including:

  • Your name, institution, and contact information
  • Proposed title of presentation
  • Brief abstract of presentation (3-5 sentences)
  • Which scientific session: drug discovery and development; characterization of biopolymers, or novel applications/data analysis tools
  • What will the audience learn from your presentation?

To submit a poster submission (by July 15)
