Call for Abstracts: ‘The FORGE’ Event

Megaphone with call for abstracts

Malvern Panalytical is passionate about supporting students and nurturing the talents of the next generation of visionary thinkers and creative problem-solvers. That’s why we have teamed up with the RSC’s Particle Characterization Interest Group (PCIG) to host The FORGEa student-led virtual event dedicated to the characterization of pharmaceutical formulations.

The FORGE is a live, virtual, free-to-attend event which will take place on 25 March 2021, providing a platform for pharmaceutical scientists to share their passion, discover new ideas, and inspire others.

If you are a student working in the field of characterization for pharmaceutical formulations, The FORGE is an exciting opportunity for you to showcase your research and demonstrate that you have the knowledge and the talent to succeed.

If you are already working in the pharmaceutical industry and are interested in hearing about cutting-edge research and seeing the next generation in action, then The FORGE is tailor-made for you!

Submit an abstract

If you have new research to share, we’d love to hear from you. You can submit an abstract here – it’s a great way to start making a name for yourself and getting your research out there. Submissions should ideally explore one of the following areas of pharmaceutical formulation characterization: ‘Prediction/Modeling’, ‘Characterization’, and ‘Formulation in the Real World’

Why should you present at The FORGE?

  • Share your passion for your research by delivering a presentation or poster
  • Gain experience in presenting to your peers in industry and academia
  • Take advantage of training to help you communicate why your research is so important to the world
  • Be in with a chance of winning a prize for the best talk or best poster

What sort of presentations are we looking for?

We want to hear from students and researchers who have interesting stories to tell and exciting ideas to share. We are looking for presentations that:

  • Tell your formulation story and make it personal
  • Inspire others by focusing on your passion for science
  • Slides, bullet points, and equations are great but don’t be afraid to tell the story behind your research and share with us what really motivates you and why it’s important
  • Your presentation should ideally address one of the following three areas: ‘Prediction/Modeling’, ‘Characterization’ or ‘Formulation in the Real World’

How do I submit an abstract?

Think you’ve got what it takes? Check out the full brief here and submit your abstract before the 15th of January 2021.
