Milk powder quality and nutritional value depends significantly on its mineral and salt content. Elemental analytical techniques such as X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF) are valuable in determining the composition of a wide range of organic and inorganic materials which can be analyzed as solids, liquids, loose and pressed powders.

In this webinar we present energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) as a rapid, non-destructive tool to quantitatively analyze mineral and salt content including sodium and magnesium in milk powder prepared as pressed powders.
