The amount of absorbed/desorbed water directly influences properties of many materials (clays, zeolites, cement, sorbents, pharmaceuticals, etc.), changing the phase composition and/or structure of the phases. In situ X-ray diffraction (XRD) at variable temperatures (T) and relative humidities (RH) is the most comprehensive tool to study these changes.
In this webinar the experimental setups for in situ XRD at variable temperature and relative humidity on PANalytical’s diffractometers will be discussed. A number of application examples featuring T-RH induced phase transformation in different types of materials (pharmaceuticals, clays, clinker) will be shown.
