Sample preparation of powders of does not involve any chemicals. Grinding and pressing can be automated in line with the X-ray diffractometer. Special samples such as solid rocks or minerals, wet samples from beneficiation plants and very small amounts of minerals can be prepared manually in less than 5 minutes in special sample holders.
