The Mastersizer 2000 has been a stalwart in material characterization labs across the globe for over two decades. However, all good things eventually come to an end, including the service/support for this old workhorse. As such, the future of particle size measurements on the Mastersizer 2000 is now dependent on sourcing increasingly scarce spare parts and the best endeavors of our service team.

Moving your measurement methods onto the successor instrument; the Mastersizer 3000 is becoming increasingly more urgent. But with increased dynamic range, faster measurements, greater flexibility, and a huge improvement in usability, we don’t think you’ll be disappointed! Mastersizer 3000 provides all this, while providing crucial continuity for both your products and processes.

Thousands of users have already made the successful transition from the Mastersizer 2000 to the Mastersizer 3000, nevertheless, we do understand that transferring methods and their specifications to a new platform can be a cause for concern. In this webinar, we will show you how we’ve integrated elements of the Mastersizer 2000 into the Mastersizer 3000. You’ll see a lot of familiar software capability, alongside new features designed to aid the method transfer process, including our dynamic particle imaging accessory the Hydro Insight. This is particularly useful as a visual aid on the state of wet dispersions. We’ll then move on to exploring the method transfer process for a range of different samples and will show how simple it is to achieve comparable results.
