Stability Evaluation Solution for Viral Formulation Using NTA (Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis)

What is Lentivirus?

Lentivirus is a type of RNA virus from the Retrovirus family, developed since the late 1990s. It moves into the host nucleus and integrates into the Genomic DNA to express genes, producing virus particles. It is used as a vector along with Adenovirus and Retrovirus to express or suppress target genes in any cells or tissues of interest.

The development of lentivirus formulation includes processes such as size measurement, production of viral vectors, and evaluation of gene delivery efficiency.

This study demonstrates the analysis of lentivirus formulation stability using NanoSight Pro (NTA equipment). Lentivirus samples were diluted to an optimal concentration in PBS buffer for NTA analysis and analyzed using a NanoSight Pro equipped with a 488 nm laser. NanoSight Pro provides rapid size and concentration measurements, completing the process within 5 minutes.
