Analysis of cement fused beads according to ASTM C114-11

ASTM C114-11 gives recommendations concerning the maximum deviations of analytical results for a selection of important compounds in cement. In brief the norm prescribes that the analyses must be made in duplicate and that the analyses must be made on different days.

Measurements were done using a PANalytical Epsilon 3XLE EDXRF spectrometer. To demonstrate the instrument and sample preparation performances, eight international NIST Portland SRM cement powder reference materials were selected to produce two sets of fused bead samples. These sets were prepared and measured on different days.
