Aeris Cement Edition Sample Preparation Standard Operational Procedure

The Aeris Cement edition makes it possible for cement plants and central laboratories to do fast, easy and reliable mineralogical monitoring for different materials with quantitative X-ray diffraction. The built-in automatic mineralogical analyses that use the Rietveld method are calibrated on reference materials and actual production samples and can be changed to specific mineralogy or sample preparation techniques. The full analytical chain, from material sampling to data analysis, must be optimum and stable to give the best mineralogical results. Errors that occur during sampling or variations in sample preparation can have a negative effect on the results. These errors can be caused by change of personnel or incorrect sample preparation.

The Standard Operational Procedure tells you how to prepare a sample for reliable and accurate mineralogical analysis of building materials in a quality control environment. When you do the analysis routines made by Malvern Panalytical, make sure that you follow this procedure to get the correct analysis results.

The information in this Standard Operational Procedure can be used for all diffractometers with all analysis methods.
